“A fashion is nothing but an induced epidemic.” George Bernard Shaw, member of the Bloomsbury Set.
The forthcoming Jacket Required menswear show – 12th & 13th February 2012 – features a new location and more exhibitors but retains the same focus on quality of brand, diversity of offering and uniqueness of experience.
For this the shows second season, the exhibition is taking place in the Bloomsbury Ballrooms, a large modern showroom space with mezzanine level flooring housed in an Art Deco period building. As the name suggests, the new location is historically associated with the fashionable art and literally group known as The Bloomsbury Set.
Possibly one of the most underrated British art movements of the Twentieth Century, the Bloomsbury Set with the likes of Lytton Strachey, EM Forster, Virginia Woolf and George Bernard Shaw were a glamorous, witty and incredibly talented group of friends who met on a regular basis in the creative London suburb of Bloomsbury.
