We’re extremely pleased to be back in touch following our July event, which has allowed us to make even bigger and better plans for the coming year. With that said, we’re thrilled to remind you that the next Jacket Required will take place at Victoria House, London on Thursday 7th & Friday 8th February 2013.
Thanks to the success of our most recent show and those preceding it, we’ve been afforded the opportunity to extend our event space. After much deliberation, the elegant Bloomsbury Ballroom, located within Victoria House, will expand the total floor space by an impressive 10,000 sq ft.
This additional space has allowed us bring in some exciting new brands to complement those who have taken part season-on-season, including:
MWC watches is based in Zürich, Switzerland, and was founded in 1974 by Wolfgang Obrigheimer, who is still closely involved with the company despite now being in his late 70s. Wolfgang’s passion and unwavering work ethic is echoed throughout MWC, which is a leading supplier not just to the military but also to police forces, anti-terrorist units, mining companies, salvage companies and various government departments.
Established in 1976, Majestic is an American apparel brand associated with Major League Baseball (MLB), National Football League (NFL) and the National Hockey League (NHL).
For 2013, Majestic will launch MAJESTIC SELECT, a new Japanese premium line that is driven predominately by Japan’s love for vintage and American lifestyle and culture. Adapted by its Tokyo design team, the MAJESTIC SELECT line will leverage the all-American Major League Baseball logos and vintage-style graphics on classic baseball-inspired satin jackets, coach jackets and shirts. Construction of the products are true to American vintage sportswear, with printing techniques including heavy washes, thick rubber prints and cracked finishes faithfully replicating a piece of apparel that one would find in the most remote American thrift shop. Logos and labels all reference Bangor, Pennsylvania, an East Coast small town and the birth home of Majestic, close to where Majestic still produces on-field uniforms for MLB.
Loreak Mendian, a Basque modernist brand, is guided by a four-pillar creative map; Basque roots, arts, music and surf. The label aspires to create clothing with an effortless, timeless quality, exercising all manner of in-house creative inclinations alongside an ongoing desire to collaborate with talented creators across a great range of disciplines.
